Will compete against fellow former champions Miguel Angel Jimenez and Bernhard Langer
Snoqualmie, Wash. (July 23, 2024) – The Boeing Classic announced today that Stephen Ames will return to defend his championship at the 2024 Boeing Classic. He will compete against several former champions, including Miguel Angel Jimenez and World Golf Hall of Fame member Bernhard Langer.
“We are proud to confirm that defending champion Stephen Ames will compete in the 2024 Boeing Classic,” said Tournament Director Ryan Ingalls. “Stephen has been playing some of the best golf on PGA TOUR Champions, and we welcome his title defense. We are also very excited to announce that former champions and fan favorites Miguel Angel Jimenez and Bernhard Langer will join Stephen in the field this year.”
Last year’s victory by Ames was one of four wins he posted on the year. In addition, he has won two tournaments this year. A dual citizen of Canada and Trinidad and Tobago, Ames was a torch bearer for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver.
Jimenez, born and raised in Spain, has finished in the Top Ten in all five of his starts at the Boeing Classic, including last year’s runner up finish and a victory in 2022.
Langer, who is a two-time winner of the Boeing Classic (2010, 2016) with eleven Top Eleven finishes, including seven Top Five, in 13 appearances at the Boeing Classic. A winner of 46 PGA TOUR Champions titles, Langer was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2002.
The 19th Annual Boeing Classic is scheduled for August 5-11 at The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge. Single day tickets start at just $20 in advance and weekly passes are just $60.
