Volunteers were provided the opportunity to share their thoughts about their volunteer experience at the Boeing Classic. Here is a sample of the comments received:
“Very well organized and most importantly the volunteers were made to feel appreciated.”
“The whole event was put together well. It is a huge scale to manage with volunteers and overall all it worked well. The Boeing (aircraft) fly-over was awesome!”
“I especially appreciated how understanding the leaders/schedules were when I had to change my (volunteer) work dates about a month before the event.”
“The whole volunteer experience was first class and fun.”
“I think the volunteer experience was great!! I plan to help with this activity every year!”
“This is the most organized event I have ever volunteered for!”
“It was a great experience. I’ve done a lot of volunteering in my time, but I’ve never been treated and valued so much as I did at the event. Thanks.”
“I had a great time both years. The volunteering is fun. The golf is fun. Everyone involved is friendly and relaxed. The course is beautiful. I applaud everyone involved with the planning and organizing. The money goes for a good cause. Thank you!”
“I have volunteered for many events in the past. It’s always fun to be part of a committee that is so thankful for their volunteers. The Classic shows a lot of appreciation!”
“I believe in what this tournament provides and as a 26 year employee at VMMC I am proud and honored to be able to be a part of this special event. I also truly enjoyed the golfers coming to the volunteer tent to say hi and thank you! And I love the fact that my employees in my department are also excited about this also!”
“I have volunteered as a marshal at several other tournaments in the Midwest – Des Moines, Omaha, Mpls (including a US Women’s Open). I feel that the volunteer package and experience in Seattle was the best I have ever had. The organization and hard work of the committee chairs is evident. In my opinion this is a first class event and a wonderful volunteer experience.”
