Korean Air announced as new title partner of the Boeing Classic Pro-Am
The Boeing Classic and Korean Air have announced that the international airline has agreed to be the title sponsor the tournament’s most prestigious event - the Pro-Am - taking place August 25-26, 2010, as part of a complete week of events leading up to tournament competition on August 27-29.
The Korean Air Pro-Am provides a unique opportunity for corporate partners to play with a legend of golf during practice rounds at TPC Snoqualmie Ridge and greatly contributes to the charitable proceeds raised for the Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason. 56 foursomes will play in the two-day event, with every amateur team paired with a Champions Tour player taking part in the weekend competition. The pros and their caddies are true ambassadors of the game and engage with their groups for a dynamic and one-of-a-kind experience.
In a unique twist to this year’s event, Pro-Am participants will bid at a live auction at the Pro-Am Draw Party for the right to have their foursome paired with local legend Fred Couples during their round. It is the first time that the Boeing Classic has provided such an opportunity and Couples’ first appearance at the tournament is expected to draw significant interest from corporate partners and fans alike.
A tournament sponsor since 2007 Korean Air is North America’s largest airline to Asia is among the top 20 airlines in the world for passengers carried annually. The company slogan, “Excellence in Flight,” reflects a commitment to the customer experience, which is a shared goal and practice with the Boeing Classic. Korean Air, a longtime partner of Boeing, is currently flying 737,747,777 and was a launch customer for the 787.
