Diabetes Clinical Research Program Brings Hope to People with Diabetes

A card sent to the Benaroya Research Institute Diabetes Clinical Research Program (DCRP) team reads in part: “Benjamin was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes which initially sent us into a tail spin, but quickly developed us into a well oiled machine and a really great team. Swiftly, we were able to get our bearings, learn a lot and adjust our lifestyle. We were blessed to become part of a medical study at Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason (BRI) in Seattle and feel so lucky to have a wealth of resources and information at our fingertips. We are so thankful to the whole team!”

It’s not unusual for the DCRP to receive these greetings. In fact, they regularly receive wedding invitations, graduation and baby announcements, and thank you notes from children and parents.
