BOEING CLASSIC MEDIA CREDENTIALS – DEADLINE EXTENDED TO AUGUST 5

The 2011 Boeing Classic has extended the deadline for media credentials applications for tournament week coverage and will now accept submissions through Sunday, August 7th.

If this is your first time visiting this media-only website, you will go through a brief registration process.  Once you receive a confirmation via e-mail you may then have access to the application.  We’re certain you will find pgatourmedia.com an informative site for up-to-date information on the Champions Tour and the Boeing Classic.

Specific instructions are as follows:

  • Log on to pgatourmedia.com
  • Register, if not previously registered
  • Click on “Credentials” and follow directions to apply for Boeing Classic media credentials
  • Don’t forget to hit “submit” when finished

If your organization intends to have multiple parties credentialed, please submit just one request on behalf of the entire outlet.

KIDS DAY ADDED TO LIST OF TOURNAMENT WEEK EVENTS AT
THE 2011 BOEING CLASSIC

Kids Day at the Boeing Classic will be added to the tournament event schedule on Friday, August 26th. It’s the perfect event for the entire family at TPC Snoqualmie Ridge and coincides with the first round of competition at the region’s premier golf event.  Special events and activities throughout the day include:

  • Watch the most unique start to any PGA TOUR event – the Boeing Jet Flyover.
  • Play the latest video games at THE KIDS ZONE, presented by Xbox 360
    • A special area on top of the 18th green dedicated to the young fans in attendance, kids will have the opportunity to play games on the KINECT for Xbox 360. With Kinect for Xbox 360, you are the controller. Easy to use and instantly fun, it gets your whole body in the game.  Kinect transforms how you play and connect with friends and family.

  • Enter the Youth Putting Contest for great prizes
  • Take pictures with some of your favorite team mascots – the Seahawks’ Blitz, Harry the Husky, the Seattle Storm’s Doppler and more.
  • Show your spirit and creativity at the face painting station.
  • Scoop up your favorite flavors at the Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Truck.

All children 14-and-under accompanied by a paid adult receive free admission. Activities for the kids will take place from 11am-4pm and all fans can follow the Pros around the course from 11:30am-5:30pm. For more information, please visit BoeingClassic.com.


The Boeing Classic is an Official Event on the PGA TOUR Champions Tour, which features the legends of golf 50 years of age or older. The winner of the 2010 Presidents Award honoring the best event on the Champions Tour, in the tournament’s six-year history, nearly 3.2 million dollars has been raised for the Heart Institute at Virginia Mason Medical Center, the Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason and additional Greater Seattle Charities. The 2011 event will be played August 22-28 at TPC Snoqualmie Ridge. Highlights during the week include the Rumble at the Ridge (August 22), the First Tee Youth Clinic (August 23) and the Korean Air Pro-Am (August 24-25).
